Gathering at Wangshui and Tao

June 2, 2022, also the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival. Today is particularly exciting because two highly respected masters have graced our company with their presence. The two masters are Mr. Zhang Rui Xiang, representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage of Baisha Maolong brushes, and Mr. Yang Yinggen, President and Chairman of the Guangdong Boya Academy of Calligraphy and Painting. We extend our warmest welcome and heartfelt gratitude for their visit.

      Mr. Zhang Rui Xiang, master of Maolong Xuan, from Shuangshui, Xinhui, Jiangmen, Guangdong; Dean of Gangzhou Academy of Painting; professional painter; calligrapher; seal engraver; collector; master of arts and crafts; representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage of Baisha Maolong brushes; director of Guangdong Arts and Crafts Association; director of Guangdong Folk Artists Association; chairman of Jiangmen Folk Artists Association; studied calligraphy and painting with Dr. Cui Deqi and Master Guan Shan Yue. Participated in the Shanghai World Expo in 2010; in 2007, he went to France to participate in the China Cultural Year exhibition and teach Maolong brush painting techniques. Featured in reports by CCTV, French Television, and Phoenix Television. Author of "Maolong Ink Traces" collection of works, calligraphy and painting and seal engraving collections, etc. He is a member of the Jiangmen Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. In 2009, he was awarded the title of "Guangdong Arts and Crafts Master" by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government. In 2006, he was named the representative inheritor of Baisha Maolong brushes by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture. Many television stations have repeatedly broadcast "The Dance of Maolong Brushes." He developed Maolong brushes for Chinese painting, with a unique painting style of Maolong brushstrokes, and has held many solo exhibitions at home and abroad. His works are collected by museums, institutions, and individuals.

During this visit, Chairman Zhang presented Mr. Chen Shunqiang, our company leader, with an award certificate for the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of the Jiangmen Federation of Literary and Art Circles (Folk Crafts Exhibition). We are very grateful for Chairman Zhang's support and guidance.

On the same day, Mr. Yang Yinggen presented Mr. Chen Shunqiang, our company leader, with a precious calligraphy and painting work titled "Thick Virtue Bears All Things." These four characters express appreciation for our company's emphasis on the spirit and fine traditions of the Chinese nation. A virtuous person should be as broad and substantial as the earth, bearing and nurturing all things, like the vast spirit of the earth.

Mr. Yang Yinggen is from Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. A member of the Communist Party of China, a veteran of the war against Vietnam, founder of the Guangdong Boya Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, current president and chairman of the Guangdong Boya Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, member of the Jiangxi Calligraphy Association, member of the China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, a level ten Chinese calligrapher, awarded senior calligrapher by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China, vice president of the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Industry Associations, director of the Guangdong Jiangxi Chamber of Commerce, and senior advisor of the Guangdong Hunan Xintan Chamber of Commerce. He has participated in numerous national calligraphy competitions, winning gold and silver awards. In the first half of 2012, he won second place in the national calligraphy competition held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing; in the second half of the same year, he won first place in the national calligraphy competition held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

After dinner, the two masters spontaneously wrote and presented many calligraphy works on the spot. We are truly delighted by the visit of these two masters, and we welcome them to visit our company again in the future for further guidance.
